Outstanding Service Awards

Therapet Foundation celebrated our 17th Anniversary in East Texas with a special awards dinner to honor all the animals and volunteers that make this organization function throughout the year. At this time, a small group of animals and humans receive special recognition for exceptional service. All the owners of past Therapet Award Winners were honored as well.

Our Newest Award Winners for 2010-2011

Therapet Visitation Animal of the Year

With over 100 animals the ability to choose just one oustanding animal proved difficult and for the first time two animals received this awards. Congratulations to Tina Allbritton and "Whiskey" her small mix breed and Monique Krouse and "Cooper" an Australian Shepherd both won this honor!

Therapet Volunteer of the Year

Ann Tidmore recieved this special honor. Her first dog did not pass the testing but instead of giving up, Ann began volunteering with the miniature horses and borrowing other volunteer's dogs to participate. Last Fall her 2lb Chihuahua "Annie Rose" became a Therapet and now Ann enjoys volunteering with her as well.

Therapet  Therapy Animal of the Year

This special honor went to "Babe", a yellow labrador owned by Karen Reed. Babe is a quiet, gentle soul that can work with young and old alike. He is a wonderful example of what a Therapet should be!
